About M.V. Jasmine
M.V. Jasmine is a luxury charter and public cruise vessel offering private celebrations, weddings, corporate events, dining experiences and public cruises.
We are looking for someone who can help us take the experience to the next level — creating a polished, seamless and five-star standard of hospitality from the moment guests enquire through to the moment they step off the vessel.
About the Role
As Venue & Event Manager, you will take ownership of the onboard hospitality and event experience across both private charters and public cruises.
You will oversee everything from event planning and client requirements through to staff leadership, food and beverage, bar operations and service delivery.
You will be onboard for most charters, leading by example and ensuring every detail is taken care of.
Key Responsibilities
Manage private charters, events and public cruises
Deliver a premium, five-star guest experience
Coordinate event details, client requirements and run sheets
Lead, roster, train and support hospitality staff
Oversee onboard bar and dining operations
Ensure food, beverages and supplies are ordered and ready
Work closely with chefs, caterers and suppliers
Manage Square POS and operational systems
Ensure the vessel is beautifully presented before every charter
Monitor costs, minimise wastage and support profitability
Manage service standards and staff performance
Identify opportunities to improve systems, increase revenue and grow the business

Restaurant Managers looking to step into a unique luxury venue environment.
Hotel or Resort Managers with strong experience in guest services, food and beverage and team leadership.
Venue Managers who understand how to manage busy service while maintaining exceptional standards.
Event Managers with experience coordinating weddings, private functions, corporate events and premium celebrations.
Experience working in premium hospitality, fine dining, boutique hotels, luxury resorts, destination venues or high-end events will be highly regarded.

You are hands-on, highly organised and naturally take ownership.
You understand that luxury hospitality is all about the details. You know how to lead a busy service, manage a team, solve problems quickly and ensure guests feel genuinely looked after.
You don't wait to be told what needs doing — you see it, take ownership and make it happen.
Most importantly, you are commercially minded and want to help build a successful and growing business.
Essential Experience
5+ years hospitality or restaurant experience
3+ years in a management or leadership role
Restaurant, hotel, venue or event management experience
Experience leading and rostering staff
Strong food and beverage knowledge
Bar and service management experience
Experience coordinating events or functions
POS experience — Square highly regarded
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work weekends and around charter schedules
